Seeing the dominant file extension edited per minute helps describe the participant’s journey through your project.
File extensions are parsed from files changed in the Working Directory. Extensions are logged on file change, and the filetype appearing most often per minute is displayed in the aggregate chart.
If we look at the third bar in the chart from the left, we can see this is minute 00:04:00 where 4 developers edited files. Two of them edited
.js files, one edited a
.html file and one edited a
Here we can see that a
.png file was edited either early in the session or late in the session. This means that working with images is either the first thing participants do or the last.
